So after the ending of Dreams & Empires, Alex and Christian have decided to start up a new project.They are currently looking for a bassist & drummer to complete the band.Influences will come from bands such as Jimmy Eat World, Relient K and Futures. Also some influence from poppier bands such as CIWWAF. Think basically very upbeat with loads of hooks and massive choruses. We are playing our final gig ever tomorrow as a band

Tomorrow we are playing Mosh Against Cancer with a load of other cool bands, it is the final time that Myself (Alex), Christian, Rob, Craig & Graeme will be playing as part of Dreams & Empires.

We would love it to see as many people down there showing us support and giving us an awesome send off. You will also be helping to raise money for Cancer Research, so it’s all for a great cause

One of us may even cry…

I know that a promise of great things doesn’t mean much but we have some really good ideas!  We are both influenced heavily by bands like Panic! at the Disco, Chiodos, The Receiving End of Sirens, Isles and Glaciers and The Dear Hunter. Nothing in there that you fancy? You should still give us a chance! The sound that we are going for is going to be something of its own, and you never know, it might well be the best thing you’ve ever heard. As you all know Dreams & Empires will be no more come August 20th.

So all we want is for you guys to come out to our last three shows and make this a trip to remember. It would mean so much to us if you would all come out and show your support to local music.

Again we want to thank you all for being amazing, you have made this some experience by coming out, singing along to songs, dancing, buying shit merch, picking up a cd and just having a general good time.

RIP Dreams & Empires. 2010 - 2011

It isn’t easy to tell you all this. After much thought and finally reaching a mutual understanding, we have all decided to part ways with Dreams & Empires. This is due to conflicts in musical interests as well as a number of other factors. We all remain brothers and, as you know this can’t have been an easy decision for any of us. We would like to thank everyone who has ever supported us, came to a show, grabbed a CD and helped us along the way. You all made this one of the best experiences of our lives, and as a result we will never forget about this.

We would also like to thank any promoter that stuck us on a show and all of the zines who gave us sick reviews! Also thanks to all the awesome bands we’ve met along the way and a big thanks thanks to Callum Ayers for helping us get this far, it has truely been an honour, sir!

This being said we are still playing our last few shows, the last one being Mosh Against Cancer on the 20th August in Classic Grand, so PLEASE come show your suport one final time for us, it would mean the world to us! We will keep you updated on here to any new musical ventures we decide to take. We love you all and thanks for making this one incredible run.
